The oldest rally for touring cars, the „Herkomer-Konkurrenz“, was held from 1905 to 1907. It had been initiated by Sir Hubert von Herkomer who was born in Waal near Landsberg amLech. This event is published internationally for motor cars in accordance with the FIVA Categories A – C (up to the year of manufacture of 1930).
